Resurrected thread is resurrected.
Without ever seeing this thread, back in July I went on a binge to find an E30 Sedan. Couldn't find one that wasn't a beater, so I started looking at WRX's, when immediately I realized I wanted an FXT.
Here's mine on DGR Coilovers and 18x9.5's. STi axle-back and a K&N panel filter keep things nice for now, but sway bars, end links, lateral links are due soon and a Cobb AP is already on its way.

If in doubt, FLAT OUT

When I bought the wagon, my son said "Kind of plain grocery getter for you isn't it?" I just smiled and took him out to Calaveras reservoir. He doesn't think that anymore
I would have preferred a FXT, but when I was looking there were pretty much zero around and this WRX was bone stock one owner.

Believe it or not, while the SH looks heavier, the difference in curb weight over the SG is only ~80 lbs. That's odd, though... losing like 5-6 mpg just by going to stage 2?

i'm thinking about flashing stage 2 economy mode to see if it runs less rich, just to see what mpg i get

Thanks man. Needs more low and more suspension.
18x9.5's in a 40et. The 40et pushed them out a bit to clear the suspension. Had I done the factory 48et they'd definitely run on the coilovers.
As for the outside, the 235/40-18 tire helped a bit, but ultimately it was the fender rolling that made the biggest difference. Never did it before, so it took me a little over 2 hours to do all four, with the help of a buddy. Before rolling, fronts only ever rubbed one time. The rears, though, especially on Highway 87, were miserable. Now that they're rolled, I haven't rubbed once. Not a single time.
TL;DR: No trouble. Just roll the fenders and you're golden.
For science (just because the stock ride height of a Forester is absolutely ridiculous):
