rear diff. noise?

just noticed lately....making sharp turns (low speed) when DCCD is set anything but auto, the rear diff seems makes horrible metal scrubbing noise.....DCCD in auto doesn't have this problem.....anybody has experience this? //ready to take it to the dealer... :(
the car is 04 STi....
