RC Rally Racing!
So browsing through RC Tech Rally thread, I see ldivinag and 2cam16...who else has a rally RC car?
I had a crappy old school Tamiya before i stripped out the gears. I want to get a DF03RA next, probably the Mitsu V body  If you don't know if youre into RC Rally, watch this video, then check your underwear. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FalrqbfcIY8 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=86rbkMiQeCI I might even sell my RS because for the short time i had my RC18R with electrical tape on the tires (before it got stolen) I had more fun drifting through my hallway carpet in and out of rooms than I ever had with my RS...well almost...But a $8000 car compared to a $300 car!? Then again i desperately need money so yeah. LETS RALLY! |

Is it a sin to spend my DF03Ra money on a Traxxas Mini Slash? THEY ARE BEAUTIFULLY DESIGNED! Look at the slow mo suspension at work! WOW!
(FF to end of video on last drift) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R7XPTLqMPWk And driving it...in a swimming pool! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WG9QXdmLwBw someone knock some sense into me...i'm becoming too American!!! The wheelbase is 206mm on the mini slash and the DF03Ra is 150-160mm...if it were 200 range i would buy the slash and slap a rally body on it! |
Nice ZUM! I used to drift my RC18R with electrical tape on the tires its entire life! Actually i did take it off once to do a speed run down the street, cranked the wheel to turn and it rolled about eleventy times lol. Then it got stolen in SF. What a beautiful city.
edit: lol i just repeated my first post...sorry! |
this thread makes me want to get a RC more than ever!

This one is REAL! FC w Rotary sound! linked off of your video... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xynXQnJ3uCM&feature=related So HOT! Makes me want nitro...nah haha Heres a cool track in Korea and cool slo mo footage. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qvNwQEpsCpg Or i could get this and find a tt-01 cover to go over the tub and under the body |
I've got a Tamiya TG10 gas powered GC bodied rc car that hasn't seen the light of day since 2001ish. I've been wanting to get it going again but think the engine's probably shot. Has anyone rebuilt a nitro rc engine?

i dont have a clue, but do it! I plan to bring mine to all rallyx events so i can tell people "NO you cant drive it!" hahaaa
Dspec, do you ever run into problems with your setup as far as binding or debrissss? I've seen plastic covers to go over the tub but i cant find where to get them, but your idea seams like it works pretty good too. |
