all done in 4hrs beat that

It's done by professional in a shop, not on some body's garage
where might that be...I need it.

Soon as I'm done moving I was gonna do it myself but for $50 I'd rather have a professional clay my car. PM the info if you can or just post it up here. I'm in fremont...work in S.F. so it's worth the journey I can give em my car in the morning and pick it up when I get off work.

You were at the dent day right? I was the guy with the white wagon on crutches.

there is a really good "sticky" thread at the top of the APPEARANCE Forum on HondaTech.com It was started by a SoCal guy, who details a bunch of other HT'ers' cars and other makes too. Good info, incl basic procedures for washing/detailing and recommended products.

You can also check out Autopia.com or Autopia.org for car care tips. It's a forum dedicated to the subject and has a bunch of car car freaks on there!

EDIT: Here's the link to the thread:

Hope this helps,

So, when did doing side jobs at home become a bad thing? I do detailing in my garage and still comes out just as good as if done in a "shop". I get all the supplies from the same companies that go to my shop. It's just the my *** boss wont let us do side jobs there. Also, when you are unemployed....theres not many places to do it at. Thats why I use my garage. The skills are there, just not the "shop" surroundings....

I can detail a car in about 2-3 hrs. If someone wants me to hold onto their car all day, so they can feel like they are getting their money's worth....I can. But I figure and know I can do an professional job and get your car back to you ASAP, so it will be less of an inconvenience to my customers.

Thats like telling my friend, who makes his living fixing computers and sloving problems, to fix my computer ONLY if he takes it to his work, because I think it will be done better there....lol. When he can just come to my house and do it just as well.

my .02 cents

Wrxneffect and others,

thats also why I offer my services to you guys. You know I am not going to drive you cars all over town. Actually, I only drive it up and down the driveway. IF you take it to someone you dont know....you are left guessing all day and week.

Not saying you have to come to me from now on...but it is nice to know for sure that someone is going to take care of your ride while they work on it.

freddie...I have considered going to you actually. But $50 is hard to pass up.

My car is new and white but it has all this like crap in the paint I can't get out. Like polin looking and what not. It could just use a good post winter work up. I have never had anyone else do my car. I do a good job on my own...but I have never clay barred....errr. So I might use you. I'll know in a couple weeks.

But damn...$50 to clay bar a car is awesome. I mean poor krinkov/jeremy spent like an hour and a half just on my front end when he did my clear bra. And that was like 2 months ago.

yeah that is a good price. Cant say much about that. I have to charge more because these guys get good discounts on their produtcs. I pay full price and have to buy it out of my own pocket.

Plus, most shops dont even go as low as $50. for a full detail. So, again...that is a good deal.

Also, I am not trying to just promote me to detail your cars....I already have a few that made appointments with me. I was just adding to a comment made earlier. But I can always use more customers. lol UNEMPLYMENT sucks!!!!

Anywho that price was a hook up for me because the shop that i go to(where i install stuff in my car) ,know the guys who does detailing upstair He own's a supra and alway gets free detail from them.

(they only offer that price on firday because the boss is not there shhhhhhhhh)

It also depends on your car, like my sis accord they offer to wash that for 100 and that car is dirty *** ****.

I always see audi, bmw and mercedes up there.

I dunno if they can hook you up... maybe..... but i have to go ask.

Oh yeah I know about that Freddie, I got my car detailed by you last time, but I'm in San Diego so I couldn't drive to your house to get my car done. My first post says I would have taken my car to you if I was back at home. I think you do a great job, in fact when I'm lazy and home I plan on taking my car to you again..

Oh ya for those who wanted to know the detail shop in SD just does a wash, clay bar, wax it, buff and polish it. The guy just spent like 5 hours doing the whole thing. Looks really good. If one wanted you could also get your car teflon coated for $179.

fryrice, no problem. I just wanted to clarify so that us "garage detailers" dont get forgotten lol hahaha

Wrxneffect, my comment was more of a general statement...sorry. I remember you, you were a good customer too. Sorry to hear about your hood, the spots never went away huh? Hey have you had someone try to color sand and polish it for you. When I used the buffer last time it looked like it may work...but I didnt wet sand it.

Anyhow let me know if how it goes.

The spots didn't go away the detail guy said it looks like it would have to be wet sanded, but I'm just gonna wait till the hood is really messed up and then get a new one, thinking CF, and have it painted to match my car.
