So I have an oldschool suby badge. The round kind with the star constalation. It's chrome and in perfect cond.

My '05 STi has no badges at all. Should I put this badge on the trunk or is that hella ghey?

This is the badge (upper right)

Now the honduh stuff is funny, but this really is a Subaru and the oldschool is just paying tribute to the rich history of Subaru. It would be in the stock badge location for the '06-'07. That and it might look cool?

Anyone know what adhesive they use for OEM badges and where a guy can come up on some? That way I could test out the gheyness and take it off if I start seeing well dressed/groomed men following meh?

Unfortunately, yes it does...
OMFG!!! Does that say "Street Tuned Integra" next to the STi sticker?
I was just dropping my fiancee off at her house when I saw that. I took the effort to stop the car, go to my trunk, get my camera, and take the pics. :D And it's well worth the effort.

DetailAddict Jun 7, 2007 10:12 AM

if you really want to do it. I say don't put it anywhere else except for the grill.

I thank you for the mad chuckles I netted from that pic.

Not even an option for me. A chrome badge on a blacked out grill? I almost want it PSM color matched from the trunk lid.

Mr_Hox Jun 7, 2007 10:29 AM

Get some scotch tape, and take some pics with the badge in it's temporary location. That way, you can get a feel for how it looks before you mount it up there...

DetailAddict Jun 7, 2007 10:32 AM

oh it's going to be chrome? i thought it would look like the one in the picture above. which would look okay in the grill i think...

This stuff is for permanent applications. To get it, ask your local body shop where they get their supplies from, or perhaps buy a tube off of them.
AHA! I actually know a auto paint suppy store here in town that sells to the local body shops. I am sure they have that ish as they have a TON of 3m stuff. Only thing is what is permanent? Where the OEM's permanent? If so then I am good to go.
