Oil Drain Containers
Oil Drain Containers
So I went to change the oil in my STI for the first time today. Everything went fine, until I realized that the Wedco oil drain container I've been using forever wasn't going to keep up with the super fast flow of oil coming out of the car.
What should have been a 20 minute job turned into a 90 minute job since I had to clean up all the oil that spilled all over the place. Luckily I had an old office chair mat under the car to contain most of the oil and keep it from dribbling all over my garage.
Anyhoo, can anybody recommend a better oil drain container for me to use? I'd prefer to buy some place local if possible.
Thanks!

I have one that looks like this:
It's got a good diameter so it can catch the oil from the pan and the filter. Plus, since the diameter is large, it doesn't have to be all that tall to hold a decent amount. I got it at the local Monument Auto Parts.
Also, the way the funnel is mounted, it won't be hard to drain it into some gallon jugs when it's more than half full like some other ones.
