Kyle Shanahan is our new HC
But he's got a few massive issues to get through.
1. The need to get CK out of there. He's a cancer.
2. Get a real QB. Blaine is a good back up. Not sure if any of the vets on the board will want to go there but with kyle they might consider it. Kirk Cousins or Jimmy. But I don't see any of the older guys... i.e. romo... being interested. And there's the draft. Trubinsky is probably the only guy worth taking that high.
Personally... I think they should go after Cousins and trade out of that 2 slot. Pick up Williams or Cory farther down in the first round. Or got o-line and then go wr in the second round.
3. Improve the offensive line... starting with a second round draft pick.
If they take Allen number 2 or another defensive player they can pull a good WR in the second round.
4. if Christian McCaffrey drops to the second round or far enough they can get him with whatever 1st round draft pick they trade into.... say under 20... I'd take him. He can help at RB and they can use him in a Welker esk role. Which they need and Kyle will know how to use.

Lots of changes by the 49ers lately. This really looks like Lynch & Shanahan are actually working together and making improvements to the overall roster. It looks like they are working to bring in players that know Shanahan's system. It's so nice to see the GM & Coach have a working relationship with a sense of cohesion.

Seahawks are still very very good and will be for a while. Cardinals aren't too far off from being good again. Rams have a headstart on the niners. Niners need a lot.
They're not going .500 this year. And they're not making the playoffs in 3 years. Unless they land some really good QB and find some superstar wr. I'd say more like 5. Seattle and Arizona will both be well into their decline by then. And they'll suprass the rams because of better leadership. IF they don't mess it up again.
I see them winning 4 or 5 games. Depending on a few decisions they make in the draft and finishing up free agency.
Matt and Brian are not going to cut it at QB unless they somehow build the most amazing o line in the NFL.
Garcon was a good pick up but he's a lot like Boldin was... not quite what he used to be. But he's still pretty good. And he's dependable.

Bump! Been following 49er news and Lynch and shanny have a plan! They got some good free agents, killed it in the draft and have a stigma where players actually want to play for the organization. It's gonna be a good 6 years (Lynch/shanny contracts). I'm most intrigued by CJ Beathard, who knows, he could be our franchise qb with or without cousins
