Good to see the running game. Wished Kaep would keep the ball more. I want to see more option on 3rd and 4 and under. I think the option is an easy way to get those yards, especially if you tie in the option pass like the Seahawks, really make the defenders make a choice.
Game shouldn't have been close, some drops and Kaep not willing to run on scrambles for first downs to keep the chains moving and put some points on the board.
Niners defense came up big in the first half, should have had more points considering that. Got super lucky on that huge bomb, not sure how Crabtree got open even though I kept watching it. Kaepernick actually sets his feet a bit more and gives it more air and Crabtree walks into the end zone.
Where is the killer instinct? Letting them stay in the fight and not pushing the scoreboard. Games shouldn't even be this close. Kindof annoying to see the Niners do this day in and day out.
Couple quick roster things to think about:
-LBs are badass, but someone gots to go soon.
-Borland 17 tackles and records fumble recovery
Unofficial badass chart:
1) Willis
2) Bowman (he'd be #1, except now I don't know how he'll be when he returns and in good form, it might not be as great as before)
3) Aldon Smith
4) Lynch
5) Borland
6) Brooks
7) Lemonier/Wilhoite/Moody/Skuta
I can see the starters being Willis/Bowman/Aldon/Lynch, with Borland for Bowman.
Still leaves Brooks looking for time and Lemonier/Wilhoite worth nadda.
I think someone walks because there won't be any space and the talent looks of that of starters. Brooks/Aldon is going to be awesome, Lynch can obviously flash.? Niners need that passrush, so having a 3rd rusher would be nice, but I think some of these guys are going to want to get paid. Lynch is worth the $$ right now with Borland and I can see Borland taking over for a Willis/Bowman when they're down.
Btw, Brooks was the one that hit Brees to cause the fumble Borland recovered.
ILB:
Willis
Bowman
Borland
Wilhoite
OLB:
A. Smith
Brooks
Lynch
Skuta/Lemonier/

One thing that's frustrating is that kaep needs to get rid of the ball sometimes. He takes the sack (or a fumble) instead of just throwing the ball off the field when under pressure. He wants the keep looking down for the field for an open guy but he needs to learn that occasionally he will have to just throw it away

So sloppy on offense still. Really need to clean that **** up. Guys dropping ***** left and right, Kap holding onto the ball too long and taking sacks, Romans inability to call correct plays second half.
Defense is beasting as always. Borland is a ****ing playmaker.

Tim Kawakwame Brown is a total douche. He believes in guilty until proven innocent, so long as it's not him on the hot seat. Likes to stir the pot strictly for page views. Write a post criticizing him and he'll delete them. On Twitter he'll just block them. Loves to dish out criticism, but can't take it.

^ Gonna have to use Borland as the man of the hour now... Willis is done for the season =\.
So now it looks like Brooks/Lynch, Aldon, Borland, Wilhoite
Brooks and Aldon will be fine, damn though for Willis/Bowman.

1) Big win, Seattle loses, hope the Cards drop one though.
2) Borland for Rookie of the year, or defensive rookie of the year. Even only starting midway through the season he definitely has flashed in every game. This one I think he had 2 picks and a few hits in the backfield. The first int showed his caliber and awareness.
3) Lynch got a couple of sacks, Lynch/Smith pass rush is awesome! So much more focus on Aldon leaves Aaron to run free. Great duo in the making.
4) Defense had 5 picks, can't ask for more than that, great job.
5) Offense needs more points, again with 5 turnovers and against one of the worst defenses the Niners offense continues to really suck at getting into the end zone.
6) Another dropped pass by Crabtree, and another one was a poorly thrown ball by Kaepernick, kinda sucks.
7) Vernon Davis and Kaepernick just plain suck. No chemistry.

Ahmad Brooks benches himself in Niners' win - NFL.com
I knew something would happen with this, lets see where it goes.
More in the link.
I knew something would happen with this, lets see where it goes.
NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Sunday night, per two sources with direct knowledge of the linebacker's thinking, that Brooks took himself out of the game after learning that he would split time at his position more than anticipated, with Aldon Smith and Aaron Lynch playing in nickel packages instead of him. Mike Garafolo of FoxSports.com first reported the story.
"We have something we're working through," Harbaugh said via CSN Bay Area.
Brooks did not even stand on the sideline with his helmet after getting benched. He sat on the bench without his helmet on, his cleats off, and his ankle tape cut off. After the game, Brooks confirmed that he's healthy. Brooks started over Smith on Sunday, but wound up sitting behind him for most of the game.

Ahmad parties too hard and basically had a free ride all year due to Aldon being out. He's definitely lacking the pro bowl shape he was in last year. I think he knows hes outclassed by Lynch and Aldon. That said sitting out isn't going to help your stock in the long run. What team is going to want a guy on their roster that just quits on you when the going gets tough?
All this did was ensure that he's getting traded in the offseason. Hopefully they ship Crabs and Vernon along with him and get some team first guys.
