need your thoughts and prayers
me and my wife were so excited to find out we are having twins.found out yesterday that they are boys.i couldnt have been happier.then we were crushed.
they have whats called TTS(twin transfusion syndrome)
this is were one set of twins share the same space(only in identical twins)
well what happens is one twin gets more blood/nutrients from the other twin.think of this,a ballon filled with water.one twin gets 80% of the space/fluid and the other gets less than 15%.well since theres no room he cant pee which means he cant delvelope properly.
now we are faced with the hardest thing i know of.in the next 4 weeks of testing we will find out if it can be fixed.if not theres less than 10% they will survive,and if they do they have a 90% chance of have serious brain/body issues.this means by week 24(cali law)is when we will have to terminate.
now i know this is a car forum but im asking anywere i can for good thoughts and prayers.this is my greatest dream and its killing me and her.
tommorow she has surgery.this will determine the rest of our lives.
we have had many ultra sounds since that first day and things are looking up.twin B has a bladder and they are still growing at the same rate but any and all positive thoughts are needed

God damn, thats sooo depressing and horrible... I'm so sorry to hear about your loss man. My mother had a miscarriage with a 6.5 month old baby boy... It just about killed us. I know how hard that must be on you, but imagine how it is for your wife. Make sure you put twice the effort you normally do into making her happy. She's going through probably the worst thing she could ever have to face, so make sure she gets plenty of love and attention.
