Took a couple pictures yesterday and I played around with them in iPhoto so they are a bit over the top :D
this is an amazing idea for a picture. i will be stealing this. but overall your pictures are great. im interested to know what kind of camera/ lens used for the pics. |
I'm using a Nikon D90 with a 18-55mm and a polarizing filter.
Yeah I would always take reflective pictures in my gf's glasses so I thought I would try it here :D |

Yeah I have photoshop on my PC but I was lazy and only uploaded them to my Mac  |
I think you have a pretty good eye for composition and such, but I want to throatpunch whomever is responsible for popularizing HDR in automotive photography.

It was very cloudy out so all the pictures that had part of the sky in it I spiced up a bit but then I got carried away
Even the normal looking sky photo had some adjustments in it. Any tips would definitely be appreciated on settings and composure. I didn't bring my tripod a long so the pictures weren't perfectly aligned. |
pix look great! love your car, very clean!

HDR! Beyond that, some good composition and great concepts. The HDR really kills it though. |

I'm going to try to shoot in RAW and see what I can do with it. |
my new best friend on ps is lightroom. i love it!!!

yeah. a few year ago, a few editing guys decided it was cool to take a cloudy pic and make it look stormy. wasnt a bad idea at first. but then people started over doing it. it basicly makes shades look nicer. (darks darker, lights highlighted, etc) but when its over done, it looks extra cartoony and not nice. people dont use it much anymore because legit editors crapped on them with just normal editing. id much rather just manually adjust colors and use light room. it makes the pics look amazing without any cartoonish looks. |

It stands for High Dynamic Range. It's basically taking different exposures of the same picture 3 times and combining them together. So there would be an underexposed photo (-0.7) a normal exposure photo (0.0) and overexposed photo (+0.7) combined together. I can't really explain it that well but that's how you do it. |
