i'd say between intermediate/advanced? that's just based on my opinion i haven't really done many hills. but this is by far my most difficult one i've been through.

have you guys been on Calaveras before? it's about a 13 mile drive on the hill and there's a lot of turns left and right. the last meet we have we had some pretty speedy drivers. usually we split into two groups, the fast ones will go first and the slower ones are in the back. overall great drive and it's fun lighting up the hills :]

we usually end at Sierra Rd at the Shell Gas Station and park there to talk about our Calaveras drive.

I have gone on cruises with BMW crews Lexus Honda as long as your cool and have respect for each other it's alot of fun.
Thanks! And you should come out, we welcome everyone! We're looking to make this a much bigger meet than our last. I believe we even had a Mazda join us for the cruise along the hills too.

Some parts of Sierra are pretty much a one lane road. I use to drive that road all the time when I was younger and in highschool, since I lived right by it.

Have fun on the drive!

Have fun on the drive. Hope there aren't any idiots on the drive that ruin it for others as it looks like it should be a fun drive.

Fun drive!
From time to time I do the Calaveras up to HWY84 (scenic route) and that's pretty nice drive. The section near the reservoir is definitely dicey. I would not want to do it in a high powered RWD car lol.

i've done both. driving up calavaras road along the reservoir is definitely a challenge though. constant hairpins on a one lane road that's popular with cyclists.

There are some even narrower one lane sections on sierra road though. the only way to pass opposing traffic would be if either driver reversed to a wider section. i'd be curious to see how passing opposing traffic would be like on a caravan.

I'm thinking cops will show up since it's on the interwebs. Worst place to put a drive like this and calling it a run.

Personally I wouldn't go.

and only having 5 posts in this thread only.....

If you go on YarisWorld you'll see I have several posts on there so I'm not a fake if that's what you're curious about.

Also this is our third or fourth time doing this and it's been nothing but successful with no problems. We're all great car enthusiasts and very respectful towards each other and the public.

Another ridiculous drive is Mt Hamilton + Mines Road... that'll test your brakes for sure.

Not tryna start any **** but you probably wouldn't be "hellaflush-ing" your subaru if it wasn't for people like sean and others...

While his setup is tame compared to what you are used to, people hated on it then just as they hate on your car now...plus his car was f'n faaast haha it needed a useable tire patch
