Matt : didn't run any in the Fun Runs. That course was bumpy enough I didn't wanna risk breaking anything (those loud CLUNKS from the rear struts bottoming out HARD during the competition runs were a bit scary!). However I do think Leo Montero managed to pull off a 71.xxx in the fun runs (on different tires than he ran in the competition runs).

Ahh, maybe it was Leo then - I was pretty sure someone in a wagon pulled off a 71.
I was having a lot of trouble with that course - serious understeer issues, combined with me driving too fast.

What does it matter anyways? Everyone knows us by just "MPJ"...

I am now running the Hankook RS2. Pretty new tire (only been out a few months).
Sidewall isn't as stiff as the Azeni 215. Low temp traction is close (but not quite) the Azeni 215, but warm/hot is LOTS better. It also appears to be out-sticking the Kumho Ecsta MX, but that comparison is tougher since the set of MX's that I have is smaller (215/40R17).
This tire works WELL with the "heavy" WRX.
Bonus is that it is quite nicely priced! I got a set of 4 in 235/40R17, shipped to my door, for $469! Bought them thru Edge Racing :

congratulations and great driving ed! i couldn't get comfortable on that long course until the fun runs due to low hard drive memory
. it wasn't until the 4th run that i finally took a hint at a couple of pointer cones! those poor workers at station 2 had to be wondering what the heck i was doing heading straight at them! so when in doubt, hire a navigator; thanks soren! i'll need you in run 1 next time.
the course was long but great fun!
