Looking for WRX owner in SF Bay area - exhaust test
Hi guys
I am looking for a WRX owner who is looking for a new exhaust system. We just got in a 76mm (3") system from Jetex of Sweden. We are looking to offer these for a price around $499. Should be pretty quiet compared to other 3" systems. If you want a very LOUD system then this is not for you.

Thanks

Wow.. Hows it going Tim? (this is Jacob, Chris's friend that helped out at the car show last year...)
Are you looking to get New Dimensions into WRX's? I noticed a section for WRX blow-off valves on your site (www.newdimensions.com). EDIT: i just noticed the new NDimports.com site... I guess you are getting into soobies!
Anyways like Bugg said... a little more info on Jetex would be good...

Sorry guys we do not have much more info than what you see. This is a new system. The Jetex has been more quiet than most other systems we have tested on the VW-Audi line. This is why we need a person to test it. We will install it for free on this system only. So the first person who steps ups will get it. Price is $499. So let me know. Yes we are doing some Subaru stuff. Now that my nephew has one. he he
Thanks

That's awesome!! I also own a jetta and have been very happy with New Dimensions. I think it's great that I can come to you guys for WRX parts.
Will Subarus become a part of your annual car show at Moffett?
How about letting us run in the autocross course you had last year?
Looking forward to doing a lot of business with your excellent company!

it looks like a catback? what are those three brown spots on the muffler (looks like weld spots?).
also, I've never seen an exhaust like this where the pipes don't have flanges. how do they connect? and how secure is this connection?

Just like there are two methods to join two pipes together there are 3-4 different ways to clamp a pipe to another one.
Without spending an hour shooting pics of all the different styles and doing an engineering analysis of each one it is best to say the clamps will not be a problem.

Jetex is a pretty large exhasut system manufacturer in Sweden and have been making exhaust and clamps for many years.
We have used many different styles of clamps over the last 18 years in the aftermarket business. These are better than many of the clamps I see on US made systems like Borla - etc...
Always hard to tell in a picture. I any of you are nearby swing by and check out the system.

Our show has moved to Twin Creeks. Much better location and easier on everyone. Plus a full bar. he he

We hope next year to bring in more models as we have room for almost 1000 cars.
Autocross, we will have to find a place to have on on Saturday and make it a two day event.
Thanks

Yes weld spots - Not sure why except it may be for the baffles inside the muffler.
It has a flange at the cat location. It goes together like most exhaust systems. There are two methods to securing a pipe to a pipe. Flange and slip fit. Jetex uses slip fit on this system.

Car show
If you are able to have the autocross will Subaru's be invited?
I understand if not. I really do like the all German format and opening it up to other cars will create a larger crowd.
NOTE TO ALL SUBIE OWNERS: New Dimensions are a great company and their show attracts a large crowd as well as vendors. They will be a huge asset to the bay area subaru community.
