Local Alignment shops

So I just popped in some lowering springs and now I need an alignment. Where's a good place local to Fremont to get a custom alignment? I'm looking to get one within the next 2 days, but I'd rather not hit up a place like Firestone etc. with all those horror stories and the fact they may not allow me to customize it.

I've got a place in Oakland that can do it but I won't be able to drive there for the time being.

I've heard of them, but I've also heard that it is a long wait time before the appointment, after you're scheduled?

As in, you walked in and within an hour or so you were done?

Probably heard that from the guy at Firestone.
Shooting range two doors down - bring a friend and shoot the breeze - or a target or two.

Without an appointment even.

+1 on Auto Innovations. If nothing else, just call before you go in. They'll let you know if there's people in front of you.

If you go to AI, make sure you test drive the car with the guy sitting shotgun. I didn't, noticed they didn't get my steering wheel straight after the alignment and was basically told tough **** when I call back 30min later from Fremont where I stopped to do some shopping.

I'll be going to Roger Kraus from now on.

I was under the impression that you're supposed to watch while they align it? But I'll def test drive regardless if my wheel is straight or not.

Its computerized, there isn't much to see except a guy loosening some bolts and diddling around on all 4 corners of your car.

They test drive it, but you can ride passenger if you want. I'd let them drive half the test drive and you drive the other half back. This way if there is anything wrong you have the opportunity to catch it before you have paid and while they're in the car with you.
