You are funny. Try Tracy, Antioch or Stockton. No, I am not kidding. I know people that make that commute with $130k+ salaries because even that pay cannot sustain ~$3,500 median Bay Area monthly rents.
Everyone else makes makes serious sacrifices; typically not enough savings, paycheck-to-paycheck budgeting, living with multiple roommates, no vacations/entertainment, etc. Anyone that tells you differently is either (1) Trust/parental-funded hipster (2) Tech sector prodigy (3) Full of sh*t.
