JDM ECU? or USDM ECU? I NEED HELP!

Car Info: 2000 2.5rs
to the looks of it in the pics, only intake side avcs and it is a jdm v7 ej205 (not much of an upgrade other than the single avcs)

Use jdm ecu with additional wiring, to give you an idea

The engine in the picture clearly shows an AVCS solenoid on the intake cam, it also shows the secondary breathers on the valve cover.

Going to thread jack and bring this back. As some of you may know, Ill be swapping a V3 EJ20K into an 05RS. The mechanical side of the swap is no problem, neither is merging harnesses. I mainly wanted to bump this thread to re open discussion on the 20K and its smog. Ive read countless threads on how it wont pass smog unless i pay someone under that table. Id rather take the time and find a "legit" route, even if it means piggy backing or swapping ECUs and emission parts prior to smog.

its because of coil location. It doesn't look like any other subaru here that's turbo.

1993 Legacy Turbo ECU? Not sure if that engine had individual coil packs or not, but could be a suitable ECU to run that engine.
