one of the funniest auto-x i've been to. always nice to be able to shoot under the weather. the heavy down pour at times was a blast. it was such a challenge to keep the camera dry and to change settings and such. the short periods of sun/no rain so things can dry out a bit was pretty nice. had a nice chat with karlton, glider (i believe that was him), and jim (big tall guy with the mini that shoots as well) that day.

thanks! it was a lot of fun. that's why i love motorsports in the rain.

yea at one point it was raining so hard, camera barely wanted to focus because of lack of contrast. all i saw was gray through the viewfinder.

thanks glider! glass is sorta overrated. a lot of people say the lower end 70-300, and the 18-200 (the nikon ones) aren't sharp and such, but i've seen some amazing shots from them even for cars.

nikon d200. most were with a 300mm, some were 80-200, the one wide shot was from a 17-35, and the two really slow pans are from a 105. i guess that shows that i do like to use every paint brush
