to assume all SRT4 owners are not idiots...i really do! but they leave me no choice. so i am driving up san pablo blvd. towards el cerrito and i get the privilege of driving behind a black srt4 with a ground effects kit that looked like it was falling off, stock mufflers swapped out for some kragen looking ones, and an rpm tach the size of a small pizza on the dash.

now, i really don't pay much mind to any cars but this guy was pissing me off. he was pacing a grandpa in a cutlass next to him and they were both driving about 15-20mph. i don't know if the dummy was on his phone, just being an idiot or what. this goes on for about 3 stoplights, all of which turn red right before they get there b/c neither car will move any faster. finally, the grandpa speeds up a bit and i accelerate to pass them both. as i coast at about 30-35 mph, i see the neon start to speed up. i am thinking, "now this idiot wants to go faster?" and does he pass me up?...no! he now gets the hare-brain idea that i want to race. so he starts pacing me, dropping his clutch, and revving his engine. mind you i am trying my best to ignore the idiot. then we both come to a stoplight and starts revving his engine again. my girlfriend is with me and she begins to laugh. i begin to laugh as well. here is this poor guy trying to get some race action, and all we could do is laugh hysterically. light turns green and the guy goes off in a mad dash to who knows where.

least it was a srt 4 and not a normal neon with pepboys exhaust which happened to me and and my friend last year in his wrx

 

i wonder what they think when they just see us suby owners just laughing when they do that???

 

It used to be SRT4s with me, but lately I've notice Magnums pull that stunt...but I keep my stunna shades on and sing along to my music. Hehe.

its almost predictable which ones are going to try and race..

i love how they do the ricer flyby and keep on going.

not to mention that their car under WOT is about as fast as a camry at 1/4 throttle..



what would possess someone to want to race on the street, or rev up on someone for that matter?

 

The new V6 Camry is no slouch. I had one as a rental.

 

hence the reason why i said ricers 100% throttle, versus camry 1/4 throttle =)

lol good story, the other day an orange one with a fat white guy tried to race me from a stop sign.... he tried to burn out but all he got was wheel hop and the dash about to fall off lmao
