I need tires...
Going to get another set of BBS' for my STi...I think imma use em for track duty mainly but also a fair amount of daily driving.
My first guess is Falken Azenis for the price and I'm sold on how well they work at the track.
I do not want to buy track tires since it's HPDE's that I do so no need for hoosiers.
Tanks everyone-
Alan

s-03's!!! i went through 2 sets of azenis sports before switching to s-03's and i wish i would have got these first. For everyday driving they are alot better. Dry grip is about the same but after spirited driving they still grip well while the azenis seemed to fade in performance. Also there is hardly any tire noise compared to the azenis and this set of tires i'm running is lasting alot longer than the azenis did. They are more expensive but they are worth it.

hey Alan! What size wheel are you going with? Ive been running 245/40/17s(same OD as 225/45/17) on 17X8s, Khumo V700s and wow!
they're DOT legal though they are not the best if you plan to get more than 5K out of them, yeah S0-3s all around though I would def run 245s on 8-8.5s if your gonna spring for new wheels anyways

Pilot Sport PS2 > Potenza S03!! incredible traction and wet performance with more ride comfort and less noise than similarly worn S03s.
also consider the RA-1's. they're a nice, streetable R-comp that will last just as long as a lot of summer tires.

but you can't beat the Azenis Sport for the price... I mean, they're half the money as PS2's and significantly cheaper than S03's... but i've heard they're loud and get heat cycled to death.
Consider the Kumho MX at all? it seems to take heat better than the Azenis for a max performance summer tire that you won't feel bad about wasting.

Jeremy - these tires are gonna go on an extra set of '05 STi BBS wheels, so they are 8".
I'd really like to try 245/40/17's...now just gotta find some, DOT legal or not!

Hate to ***** myself. Wheels and tires for sale https://www.i-club.com/forums/norcal-classifieds-96/fs-18-x-7-5-rslimited-elite-wheels-5-x-114-3-sti-honda-etc-p-zero-nero-m-s-88085/ P zero nero M+S they are an all season tire, so not as sticky as the STi stockers, but they are VERY quiet, and have a fanstastic highway feel, as well as being the most comptetant all season I've ever owned(they're also rated as the #1 ultra high performance all season on tire rack), they are no replacement for a summer tire though, but get MUCH better milage.

TOYO T1-S.....great all around tire.
Btw, I've had S-03's, Yoko AVS Sports too, and the TOYOS are as good if not better than those overall.
