I bought my replacement pads and rotors from knsbrakes and got a really good deal. Also got speed element to install for cheap too.

Dba t2 slotted rotors and stop tech pads. For $525 shipped

I would step up to the premiums over the cteks unless you want rusted hats.

Centric Premium.
Cryo treated in the front.
Stoptech SP pads or Porterfield R4S all around. The latter is my suggestion.
Stainless lines and some good brake fluid.

i ran the porterfield r4s on my z06, and they didn't deal with track heat all that much longer than my stoptech sp pads did. maybe lasted an extra lap or so (so from 1.5 to 2.5) but still not great. Considering how much more expensive they are, i'd just get stoptech sp pads.

Track Driving /= Street Driving

If you were running the R4-S pads on the Z06 on the Track then you were running the incorrect pads for the application. At that point you should have stepped up to the R4 pads (or perhaps one of the other variants R4-E or R4-1 pads depending on the track type).

I just upgraded to the StopTech Sport kit, Slotted Rotors front and rear, StopTech pads front and rear, and Stainless brake lines front and rear. Topped it off with Amsoil Dot 3 Synthetic.
What a hell of a difference. I drive 100 miles a day to work and back. Now if feel like im going to get rear ended because it stops too quick. I find myself looking in the rear view and feathering the brakes while driving in traffic. You get used to it. The brakes are relatively quite, and the pads dont dust alot compared to Hawk.
Was worth the money. I purchased the kit from Rally Sport Direct and installed it myself. Hope this helps.

Might I recomend a different route. Because you DD...

I took the forester up to a set of disks from powerstop, using their z26 pads. The whole setup was under $400, and of course Mert over at RBMS tossed them in. Mert can also now order Powerstop directly.

When you commute 17 twice a day 5 days a week you might as well be "tracking" it.

That highway eats my money.

Lucky now I commute during non workforce hours. 2 hours drive turned into 45 mins

Other Hawk pads might be good, but I'd definitely skip the HPS. I really liked my Stoptech SPs but I'm now running Mintex and DBA T3s and they're pretty comparable in feel and stopping to the SPs IMO. I did the Cryostop rotors before too and I couldn't tell any difference over the standard ones, but I sold the car long before I got to put a bunch of miles on them too.
