Right now... looking at:

Wheels/Tires - 17x8's and tires that don't rub
Suspension - Shocks/springs or coilovers
Fender braces.

That's about it. Mainly the top two.

power before suspension and brakes. I'll never understand why people do that.

Any reason you're not going with the SPT intake?

Doesnt the STI have adequate suspension and braking to handle simple mods like exhaust, intake and an AP?

it should yes but he's looking at a lot more horsepower...and I didn't notice it was an STI.

Either way...it seems like a lot people obsess about what kind of numbers they put down on a dyno and forget about brakes and handling. Must get more power...but forget to stop. I just don't get it.

And if I had an STI which i might get this year...no my first mods won't be a retune and more power. Suspension first then new pads and lines..maybe new rotors....then power.

LOL yes Suby_6_STi, I got rid of the washers, remember I said ill just keep em on just for the time being, till I save enough money? Hehe man I LOVE BONUS CHECKS from work!!! and to comment on OneManArmy, the stock suspension and brakes and rotors on a stock STi are already enough, but hey thats ur opinion. I really don'y care too much about Dyno's and what numbers I put down, I just have all my power mods just incase some punk @$$ ricer decides he wants to roll LOL!

haaaaa.

I tell myself that additionaly power along with all other mods are for my safety. All the better to avoid idiots, stop faster, move faster...etc. haaa.

Oh and I wasn't speaking directly and souly about you. Just a random thought kind of on the topic. And yeah..just my opinion.

With my first car I went all power the first time around and cheaped out on other parts.....ended up having to redo all the suspension and brakes to keep up with the car....so now I do that first.
