How much does it cost to ship a car across the country?
 

Just like the title says...say I buy a car from florida or new york. How much would it cost (on avg) to get it out here?

My STI is already sitting at the dealership waiting for me :D. But I am also looking at DD's. See my other thread I have going :P.

i think my cousin paid like 700 to have it shipped over here on a trailer from NY to CA, but this was over 4 years ago

If I were you, I'd drive it home and you'd have your break in miles taken care of..

If you want to put it in an enclosed truck where they'll really take care of it, plan on spending at least 1500.

Don't buy a car from FL. I think there is another state too, but can't remember. Something about being able to falsely clear a salvage title.
