Hearing Test
test is not accurate... I thin it has to do with your speakers as well. I was at work with the headset and was able to hear it. Now I am home and can't hear it but the wife can...

Turned 29 little over 3 weeks ago and I heard it just fine, I've done those hearing test with the door open for the booth/cube since I am kind of a closet phobe he he afraid of small places and I was able to hear stuff most other people could not hear. In fact the Doctor told me that my test was the best score he had recorded ever, compared to those that closed the door too
So yeah I **** my family off listening to the tv at about 8-10 range and they always tell me to turn it up. And I'm the one with either 2 12's or 12 in the trunk of my car blasting it all the time

i can hear it. i believe the first signs of hearing lost is having trouble hearing people talk.
what's scary about hearing lost, is it's done gradually and you wouldn't know the damage you have done now until much later on. if you are listening to your ipod on the bus or something and you're turning the volume up to block the ambient noise, you are listening to it too loud. you won't notice the damage you have done now until much later on. this is the reason why doctors think in 20-30 years, we'll have a lot of cases of hearing lost due to ipod related gadgets. i've told many friends to invest in a good sound isolating earphone so they don't have to turn up the volume to listen.
With age related hearing loss, the high frequency sounds are generally the first to go. These sounds are the consonants we hear – the sounds that help us to make sense of what is being said. So, while you may still hear someone talking, you may think they are mumbling and not be able to make out exactly what is being said to you. Increasingly finding yourself in such a situation can become difficult and over time, you may withdraw and begin to feel isolated.

Actually its just 15KHz, pretty much every CRT TV makes it, some louder than others.
I'm 45 and can still hear it, but I don't find it as annoying as it was 20 years ago.
