Congratulations to the Packers for winning.
Now I'm a Steelers fan and all, but one of my friends is pretty much saying something that I believe to be pretty ridiculous currently.
Her argument goes as such "Aaron Rodgers performance in the Super Bowl underachieved in relation to his season performance. It was Green Bay's Defense that won the game."
Now, I definitely believe that the Steelers turning over the ball 3 times (all of which led to Packers scores) definitely helped to lead the Steelers to the eventual loss, but I really do NOT believe Aaron Rodgers performance was "underachieving" or "underwhelming".
Heck his numbers were:
24-39 for 304 yards, 3 TD's, 0 interceptions
I couldn't find the exact Passer Rating, but I saw a posting saying it was a 112.0 (not sure if that is accurate or not).
Personally, I would say that ANY of the "Analysts", "Experts", "Talking Heads" or whatever else that says Rodgers "underperformed" is nuts. Heck only 3 other QB's in Super Bowl History threw for over 300 yards, 3 TD's or more and 0 interceptions in the game (Joe Montana, Steve Young & Jake Delhomme)

What do you think? Ridiculous argument? Any merit? Other?

Rodgers is the franchise QB for the next few seasons. Accurate as hell, always has some bomb numbers. Practically erased Brett Farve gunslinger self. People keep saying the defense this and that... and it's true they did bail them out (especially in the 3rd quarter) but I highly doubt it was ALL pure D. Sure Rodgers did under perform (i mean who the hell has a game like that vs Atlanta? Near perfect)...
But I'll take Aaron Rodgers "Under performance" over any of Alex Smith's performances for all 16-18-20 games he'll have to play.
I'm into the NFL, I watch and hear a lot about many players. Rodgers definitely shined, as much as Brees did a few years ago. The thing that was really amazing was the amount of injuries the Packers sustained throughout the season AND playoffs AND superbowl, and yet their backups stepped in and stepped up. That to me is amazing.

Lil Wayne's always been a bandwagon fan when it comes to sports. He was a huge Kobe fan and did a song about him. Nowadays, he sits courtside at Miami Heat games. LOL.
