Got a Ref ticket...:-(
 

hey guys.... got pulled over today. the coped came out of no where. I swear he was camping out waiting for me to leave the parking lot. Cave me a ticket for (27156 (C), 27516, and 26700 A) smog violation due to DP, exhaust ( i have a borla Hush) and front tinted windows.



Do I need to put the stock turbo back on too? Do i need to get rid of my gauges? Why can;t I find a list of REF stations?

Man I am a little traumatized right now .... dam it!!! all those hours of work and now i need to change it all back!!!!.

are fuel rails legal?

Fuel rails will not pass state ref.

Damm, that cop new what be was looking for! How he know you had a downpipe? How is having fuel rails illegal? This state is crazy, some stuff they care about is bull ****, as long as it passes smog who gives a rats ass! The worlds going to end so just drive the car and enjoy it while your still here.......:comeandgetsome:

as for fuel rails... dam.... on AEMs web site they said theya re replacement parts .... i have a set of 04 fuel rails... don;t know if they will work... I have an 02...

Unless it has a Carb number you'll have issues with anything at the ref. I had an aem fuel set up on my Honda and it wouldn't clear ref. It did pass with a Cai and headers. Both stickered. And a cam/adjustable cam gear set to zero and covered. Adjustable cam gears also will fail. Cant mess with timing eitdher.

But that's the least of his worries. The Turbo and lack of cats = fail.

The worst part is that I do have a high flow cat that I bet will pass emissions. It is in the upper portion of the DP. Cop said nope that is not a cat. It was a cop in a truck too... I thought he was trying to get by, until he followed me around the corner.


Who knows... I might do a part out... Idk. But trust me.... I wouldn't be selling the stuff at rock bottom prices.... So don't get. Your hopes up yet.

Funnny part is that I was meeting with a fellow icluber to sell parts... I kinda took one for the team I guess... Cuz I think one of us was going to get poped.... I swear he almost hit the back of my car !!!! That cop was racing to get behind me. I just firkin pulled out of a parking lot.... Jeez

You have a FMIC? How he know you had a DP? Your turbo not covered? Just wondering so I know. I have 3.5" APS exhaust and got pulled over, not sure if the loud exhaust is worh getting pulled over for! Thinking of exhaust cutout myself.......:sign0085:

It was a cop in a truck? Was it in Fremont? If so I wouldn't be surprised if it was Rossetti (spelling?).
