There is a thread in the classifieds for a fender roller and heat gun hoping he is willing to rent it out though.

Edit: if you buy it and want to rent it out I will gladly throw you some cash to use it.

Yep, lowered on Epic Engineering Springs. It rubs a ton, going to need a mix of Fender rolling and slight camber to clear I'm guessing.

I could probably get away with just adding camber, but I'd rather roll the fenders than sacrifice performance/drivability/tire-wear.

We're eyeing the same thread I sent him a PM and haven't heard anything back. I'm trying to get him to let me use it for a case of beer and 40 bucks.

Will a slight camber really mess with performance that much?

If i were to not roll them, it would require quite a bit... Which i'm pretty sure yes, does effect performance.

For me because my car is a DD, it also effects tire life greatly. I love a good stance, but I better be able to slam this thing around corners at the limit and not have rubbing.

Update: Got my fenders rolled in the rear, took care of 90% of the issue. Its only on hard turns I can get a shade of rub.

I'll be getting a proper alignment this weekend, which should alleviate any other issues. So Wagon owners, 18x8.5's with 44 offsets work! Stoked.

In other news. Subaru paint is ****. the body shop did their best, (and they're good) but both fenders flaked like a croissant. This weekend I'm going to back-tape the edges, scotch bright, and rubberized undercoat the inner lip. to weather-proof.

That would be a good idea to weather coat it. a proper alignment always helps in the rubbing issues.

By proper alignment I take it you mean a crap load of camber in the rear.

Actually, no, not really. with the factory alignment they clear the wheel wells except under HARD cornering. Its not going to take much for them to have 0 issues.

That's pretty damn awesome. I'd like to go larger so I'll be watching the progress on this. I want to run 17x8.5's though.

If you're gonna run stock camber in the back (-1.3) I'd consider pushing your front camber up over -1.5 minimum.

I'll keep updating. Think I'm going to take it to Roger Krauss Racing for my alignment/balancing, unless people have some better suggestions?

I've had a couple friends take their cars there and RAVE about them.

I have had great experiences at Auto Innovations. But they're in Milpitas which might be a bit of a drive...
