I might bit the bullet on the T1 id2000 setup, but its so damn hard to do when the injectors cost more than my radiator/intercooler setup and just about everything on my car except the turbo lol. I've become one hell of a cheap ass from being able to make just about everything on my car.

Ed do you think with the gtx30r setup close to 500whp is reachable?
The old GT3076 can do about 450, so I think around 500 is possible on the GTX.

I've never played with those. Which injectors do they use?
Also, why convert to top feed for 1000cc when you can get sidefeeds that flow that?

Thanks

Depends what the goals are for the car and what the driver wants I guess.

They use Ford Racing peak and hold style injectors. There are larger injectors available also for pretty cheap.

There is good info in the web about the two styles of injectors. I found it a good read. They are supposed to be really nice to tune since they are more responsive than a saturated injector. Idle is supposed to be smoother and there has been improvements in throttle response and horsepower when people install peak and hold injectors.

bought a new compressor housing and went right to town machining off the inlet :) Replaced it by welding on a vband setup for the intake. Wanted a clean look without the couplers and t-bolt clamps. Then here is the completed cold side piping except for welding on the maf flange.

No v-band on compressor outlet and throttle body? ;)

kmurphy 11-06-2011 07:19 PM

lol...I was going to use wiggins of hydraflow clamps but not in the budget right now. But I will probably weld on the fittings later on down the road to use the wiggins or hydraflow setups.

vband galore.. haha.. looks clean as always..

It has to be or the welds do not penetrate.

kmurphy 11-10-2011 03:20 PM

thanks, finally broke out my new gas lens setup. Makes for very nice weld coverage. But def makes it harder to weld with such a big lens on it. Need to get use to it.

jdblock 11-10-2011 03:30 PM

why is there no "nsfw" tag attatched to this thread? lol

NorCalDC5 11-10-2011 03:32 PM

I fapped

kmurphy 11-10-2011 04:39 PM

lol....thanks. I desperately need to find an 08+ owner who wants a kit so I can prototype the downpipe. have had tons of inquiries on the rotated setups, but i dont have an 08+ to build a downpipe off of.

If only I could go out and buy a new 2011 swp sti.....hhhmmmmm
