mda 09-21-2009 09:20 AM

LOL...wait...so, you left your car unlocked? And you're angry that someone broke in? While I understand the fact that people should keep to their own ****, and quit ****ing with other people's ****, you didn't help to deter them. Right?

Sucks about the iPod and the coin tray.

leftcoast_650 09-21-2009 09:21 AM

yeah the car is unlocked but my neighborhood is low crime so i dont know what the **** some scumbag was doing up here..

rau 09-21-2009 09:29 AM

Just to clear something up here, we do not have a castle law as you stated, BUT, we do NOT have a duty to retreat on the books. In fact CA law states that if you feel your life is in danger (or other lives) you may use any "necessary" force up to and including lethal force.

Honestly dude, it sucks. I've lived in "low crime" areas as well. Although, let's go ahead and think about this one... Low crime areas are PERFECT for criminals, I mean think about it. If you stood to make money and had no competition would you do it? And that friend, is why they are in your neighborhood.

:( Sucks and they need to DIAF.

/2cents.

well i guess that makes sense, but its ****ty cause i never leave my car unlocked and the one night that i rush and dont think about it this **** happens. on the bright side i still have friends working at apple so i can get a great deal on a new one.

mda 09-21-2009 10:06 AM

At least they didn't break your window/mirror/interior/steal the car. That's another huge plus. :D

leftcoast_650 09-21-2009 10:10 AM

oh yeah definitely a plus i would be going ape**** in downtown san mateo interrogating all the ...you know..

when i had my civic someone broke my window but i had this super sensitive clifford alarm which scarred them away. they didnt take anything.. i would have been happier if they did cause i had to replace my ****ing window for nothing..

slugrx 09-21-2009 01:02 PM

i lock my car even if im only gonna be away for like 15 seconds, because thieves can strike at any time, and it only takes one push of a button to lock the car

stupidchicken03 09-21-2009 01:07 PM

ive got the blow torch

STiForFun 09-21-2009 02:24 PM

Sure people get shot in my neighborhood...but there aren't any car break ins.

subaruwrx 09-21-2009 02:36 PM

I got **** stolen out of my car a while ago, I forgot to lock it (like occasionally happens) and my suitcase was in teh car. It was emptied and I lost 4 pairs of jeans, two jackets, two pairs of shows (Jordan IXs and something else), and my lakers authentic NBA bottoms. My nintendo DS was gone too.

Funnily enough, my ipod and wallet were on the front seat and they were both there the next morning.
