Talking To far, or not far enough?

A little overboard, probably?

Goodbye street car, hello race car. At least this will allow me to grow, and grow safely at the track.

A BIG thanks to Caculated Risk (aka, the Locks) for putting this together, and in record time as well.

Yeah Mike L. can really knock out a cage pretty fast, and still do great work. Looking good!

I'm not sure of the next time I am going out. I still have a little bit of work to do on the car. And paying for this ate up money for a few months worth of track days. March or April will probably be the next time I will take the car out on track, but I might not be able to wait that long as well. :-D

The car still has most of the interior and I am going to see if I can squeez the headliner back in, albet in two pieces. For now I am going to do HPDE 3 and slowly work my way in HPDE 4 this year, so technically it is still a street car.

These are the things left to really make it a race car, and all of these will probably end up happening at once, but still not for a while.
-Battery Cut-Off
-Fuel Cell (Not sure if this is necessary?)
-Surge Tank for Fuel cell
-Racing Suite
-Racing gloves
-Extra cage bracing and door bars
-Strip out the rest of the car
-Racing seat (driver)
-lightweigh racing seat passenger

Yep, I have been pipe-dreaming recently of a dedicated track car. Not sure where the $$$$$ would come from though...

damn you're car is starting to remind me of someone that I didn't help do that to his car...can't remember his name now. alex would know since that's his buddy.

Looks good and serves a purpose for the track. So will it be dedicated for track use only?

It will be 95% dedicated to track use only. For now I will still ocasionally need the car, i.e. going to Tahoe for X-mas, or when my daily breaks down. After January though, I won't even use the car for that.

The cage is already painted though you can't really tell from those pictures. No special pain job, just flat black and I'm planning on leaving it that way for keeping it low key, cost, and simplicity.
