In all honesty... I dont think all subaru owners are in such a decline... I respect the hell out of most of the members I personally know. We all mod our cars in our own way, but we all get along. We all have the subylove!
Look at Matt (outbackdream)... hes just a kid (dont mean that offensively at all) but he asks questions constantly. Hes eager to learn how everything works, and how he can wrench on his own car... if people like him are the future subaru owners, im glad to be a part of this community.
Ill never quit helping other members where I can so long as we have the community we have now... the one we have had since I bought my first bugeye in 04... I still see the same core values here... theres just a side dish of bull****...
Maybe I just think the glass is half full, but we cant let the few trolls and dbags bring down our opinion of a community we have worked so hard to build and maintain.

Hey don't blame us.
I think the issue is largely the opposite. Money issues aside, the OGs were willing and eager to learn whatever they could about their cars, how stuff worked, what affected what, what parts work better than others, etc. Much of the newer generation is different in that regard. They often tend to be closed books who come in with already knowing everything about their Subaru because they drove a Honda before. The newer generations have cared progressively less and less about learning because they already have their minds made up.

So, he was joking about it being sunny out when it was really raining?
Sorry I had to, one of the most common spelling mistakes in the English language. It just hit my funny bone in a weird way, its whether by the way, but not being a grammar **** on this one, like I said just hit my funny bone.

Like you, I am also not being a "grammar ****".

Personally I think the entire enthusiast community is in decline; it can be a lot worst, but it can be better as well. May be it is just a stage...
I respect and support all types of motorsports activities, even if I don't necessarily understand or participate in them myself. Just because drag racing or NASCAR don't tickly my fancy, it doesn’t mean I will crap over someone that does. Obviously, it won't stop me from poking non-malicious good-natured fun at them, but in the end we are all car guys…I am not going to **** in my own pool.
I have problems when those feelings are not reciprocated. I have bigger problems when people get conceded and close minded about their motivations. I don’t care if someone wants to be the next Michael Schumacher or Carlos Sainz, follow a current trend or just have a cool fashion accessory…your car, your money, have at it…just take full responsibility for your actions, don’t pretend to be something you’re not, and don’t **** on something that doesn’t fit within a certain groupthink.
I will give everyone a fair chance and help out as much as I can if the person is willing to listen, otherwise, I am too old and busy to put up with bull****. That’s the most common I ran into, but everyone’s mileage varies.

The oil cooler.... How can it not be beneficial even on a daily driver? Do subarus run significantly cooler than most of the competitors that have a factory oil cooler? I don't think so. At $275 for a kit unused is a pretty unbeatable deal.
Plus I'm able to afford security mods for when I have the time and money to track after I'm done with my internship. Is there anything wrong with prepping?
You're the last person probably to talk **** about having these types of parts. Having a show cage and a voltex wing on a bagged car. Please tell me more.
Heedz having mods that help your car do what it already does fine is certainly not harmful. I just like giving you ****...
You dish a lot of crap... its just fun to send a little back your way
