Facebook Subaru Groups are worse than Honda Meets
1. Can't spell You're correctly, what an idiot.
2. Apex's so hard he has to have the best coilovers, and knows everything.
...
That said, I really hate where the subaru crowd is going. I am one of the younger ones on here, and haven't been in the subaru crowd, let alone the car scene for long, but the transition from 2 years back to now has just gone from sensible, to full retard. I honestly don't see why some punk kid thinks his subaru is better than anyone else's because of cheap parts, and just having special ebay jdm ****. Not to mention all the ****ing idiots who think their stock or stage 1/2 subie is super fast, and HAS to do a pull on you because they think they're cool, or drive like an idiot because they "have an AWD, turbo car....". Sucks to see, what used to be a good crowd of people, slowly degrade with the influx of the new idiots. /rant.

Heedz group sounds exactly like the North Texas Subaru group I'm in. They literally had someone make a similar post about how Racelands are a product made by the hand of god and most people agreed that they were/are great for what they are. It's funny to watch all the nonsense being posted. And very depressing.

In my humble opinion whats wrong with these groups is the people in it, people like you Heedz. Who have nothing better to do than sit back and talk useless, pointless, trash to people who do absolutely nothing to you. There was no need to bash on Nick's post, all hes doing is trying to sell something. We all start somewhere, we've all had crappy parts, sold them, and learned from the mistakes we've had. Its people like you that think you're all high and mighty and don't offer any useful information just negative insults. People like that kid Preston...well lets not even go there, there isn't much to say besides Face palm.
But you sitting on FB ragging on everyone's threads, comments, and builds makes you look beyond stupid. You can bash on my build all you want, weather you're joking or being serious, you can bash on everyone's for sale threads all you want but at the end of the day its not your build, they aren't your parts and unless people are making direct remarks towards you or your friends there isn't really much use in you jumping into conversations and being a douche bag to everyone.

Soooooooo how about.... you go get some racelands then. I mean your car doesn't need a much more of a quality than them. They do slam well.....
Throw on an oil cooler too for all the fast/furious daily driving you do...
Just beware of the snap oversteer bro...

I should probably get an NRG quick release too that way when I crash due to snap oversteer I can quickly detach the wheel and run away.

I got my first bug-eye in 04 when i was 24. Over the past decade I watched a lot of the Subaru crowed that was around that time flog their car then move onto Audis and BMWs. Or they started families and got mini vans/SUVs. This caused two things to happen. Lots of used Imprezas to be snatched cheap, and a portion of the older owners no longer posting on the boards or going to meetings to mentor new younger members.

But a lot of the good stuff is still around. You just have to lay the ground work for it to show up. That's why BAM is still the best Suby event if you ask me.... it sticks to the old principles.

I think the issue is largely the opposite. Money issues aside, the OGs were willing and eager to learn whatever they could about their cars, how stuff worked, what affected what, what parts work better than others, etc. Much of the newer generation is different in that regard. They often tend to be closed books who come in already knowing everything there is to know about their Subaru because they drove a Honda before. The newer generations have cared progressively less and less about learning because they already have their minds made up.

I feel that this generation is scared of independence and individuality, and as Louis CK puts it we're scared of that one empty feeling of forever alone, which causes us to take action immediately by pulling our phones out.
