Look for i-speed...
Go for the bobblehead design pistons (no measurement for tolerances needed) just as long as you are in the Bush family, so you don't have to worry about adding a quart of oil every 100 miles.
Here's the design:

Save yourself headaches and avoid them all together. Or you can just go to Oakland at 12am hold up a sign that says I dare you to strip my car and kick me in the nuts during the process. Which would be a lot faster and basically have the same overall effect.
so the gruppe-s option is a good idea? i was contemplating this too and was saving up for it
i have an 05wrx... has anybody hand any experience with the gruppe-s block?

Everyone knows my take on built Subaru engines. I think they are too expensive and unreliable in a long term to justify the cost and other factors involved. My preference is factory spec high performance engines (JDM Spec C). Or, if you just MUST have a "built" engines, I would no go further than pistons and rods. Once you start boring, sleeving and grinding your block, things go sour.
