so i am selling my subs. i posted on here and on craigslist.

i got a response asking if they are still available. i said yes and i got this as a response.

he never says my name, i always sign everyhting like that "irish". he also doesnt sign his name that is part of his email address. he doesnt mention the product i am selling, or how much i am selling it for.

im not a dumbass, i am not gonna send this guy my info, but am i reading to much into this. he didnt ask for bank info. but why woudl someone only be able to pay by money order. i would hate for it to be legit and miss out on a sale. but not worth it ya know

definately not worth it. sounds like someone who knows how to burglarize a car or house is fishing for addresses with known valuables to steal. Go with your gut, find someone else.

 

Another thing,
my brother got scammed by someone who sounded just fine, all he had were money orders in $100 incriments to pay with... he thought it was all cool, got the money orders and gave the item. 1 week after depositing the money orders, they were found to be reported stolen from 7-11 in oakland and therefore were not valid. scammer 1, brother 0.

itz like a house ad I replied to and they answer back with give me all ur private info send me deposit and first months rent but since I am in africa for 4 years I want all info and money then I will send a courier to you with keys to the place.. um no thanks.

I got scam offers all the time when I was trying to sell my old cell phone. They tried to offer more than your asking 'for your troubles' if they wanted to pay in increments or through a different type of payment aside from cash.

Craigslist is easy:

1) Meet face to face in public place
2) Cash only
3) Inspect product
4)
5) Profit

 

deal with people that can come in person and hand you the cash or money order....no mailin $h!t

Get the money order mailed to a false address you can access. Frame money order. Show it off to friends. Sweet story.

Obviously a scam.

I send people like this a fake name and the address to a gas station or something. That way, these cheats waste their time and money printing fake Money orders on good paper and postage.

More time waste = Less time scamming good honest gullible people.
