Calling JDM V.7 and V.8 seats owners

Anyone here have the JDM Version 7 or 8 seats installed?

I have questions about them and would like to experience them first hand before making a purchase.

I have V8 in my bugeye resto'mod. My shop is Acme Body Shop here in Sacramento. I haven't registered or smogged it so its not street legal yet. Another I-club member in Modesto has V7 in his bugeye. I can message him if you'd like to test those out. Both V7 and V8 seats are nothing like the USDM STi seats.

My boyfriend had the v7 seats in his old Bugeye; insanely comfortable! I'll be looking for a set for my RS when I get some extra money to throw at it.

Only problem is. The adjustments for height are only on the driver side for rhd vehicles. I think you're able to swap bases though.

Seat themselves are amazing compared to stock sti USDM seats. Get V7 ones.

I have been reading about the JDM seats having much better support overall than USDM, with the V7 having slightly better bolstering. It was a while ago, but I have experienced V7 seats in a swapped GC, just remembered being snugged into it, but I didn't get to experience any cornering in it.

Now I want to sit in both back to back if possible to compare, so a volunteer shoot me a PM and we'll try to work something out.

Any JDM seat is going to be better than USDM.

I used to have v2 wrx seats and they were amazing.

I had v8 in my old car. I loved them just wished I woulda swapped the rails over. I have us seats in my rhd car a swapped to the jdm bases. It's super easy to swap over if you have the correct bases

Are the adjustments attached to the bases on these seats? Even if they were swapable, the adjustment levers would probably get in the way of the Seatbelt and/or center console... Unless there's some way to modify the levers to attach to the other side of the seat.
I never really thought about this until now, but not having that adjustment on the driver's seat would blow.
