So I went to test drive an 04 Wagon today, and I like it. a lot, except for the brakes, there's a lot of travel before there's grip on the brakes. But the guy down there said $23.4K out the door for a Java Black Pearl 04 Wagon with 130 on the odometer. What do you guys think? If anyone has aexperience with these guys tell me, or should I see another dealer? Also, there's a rollback on an 04 STi in WRB, but the tag as $33.900. I thought MSRP was $32K Am I wrong? Post on anything related to the things previously mentioned.

i payed $22,391 out the door for my Aspen White 04 Wagon w/11 miles on the odometer at Diablo Subaru in Walnut Creek, but i have heard that the best Subaru Dealer around is Santa Cruz. the only options mine has are the upgraded stereo and factory alarm.

23.4 OTD sounds pretty good to me.
i encourage you to get the short-throw shifter option
:and auto-dimming mirror and armrest extension to boot:
good luck

130 on odometer seems like a lot - you don't know if it was mistreated when other customers took it out for a test drive. See if you can get other dealerships to match that price, you might be able to find something similar with fewer miles.
Try Santa Cruz - ask for Charlie Yeo - he's an iclubber

I bought my 04 wrx sedan from broadway. I went through the internet dept.
I went there to test drive an 04, they just gave me the keys and told me to be back in 15minutes. I drove that car pretty hard, not like mistreatment hard, but hard enough to get a good sense of the car. It had around 120miles on it.
Since they let me do that, I made sure as hell I got a car with under 10miles on it. They told me a white 04 was coming on the truck the next day so I said I would take it.
I bought it with 8miles on it, and I made sure IN WRITING that I would not take delivery of the car if it had over 10 miles on it.
I'm not sure I would buy a wrx with 100+ miles on it from broadway subaru. Also, don't ever take your car there for service, I did once and will NEVER do it again.

Agreed. I wheeled a wagon with about 130 on the odom. and just bashed the **** out of that car. Well, not really but it was pretty hard. But how much did you get it for? and how was the transaction?

Broadway Subaru s**ks! I had a deal lined up on the STI when they first came out for MSRP in writing from them. Then the car shows up and they wouldn't sell it to me for what they had put down on paper. The owner wouldn't even talk to me so I took my deposit back and left. So waste salesman Bret Mcelroy's afternoon then go buy it somewhere else.I didn't want to waste my time pursuing it because they were still going to make good money on MSRP and I didn't want it going to them. Found a great dealer in Montana while on vacation and drove that baby all the way back to break it in.

dude. You're in Walnut Creek? Is your STi WRB? I think I've seen you before right before Caldecott tunnel. You ever see a girl driving a red EVO around Ygnacio? I laugh everytime I see her (twice or so)
broadway subaru is teh ghey!! i talked to chris reed or whatever for like 2 weeks. SPECIFICALLY 2005 wrx in crystal grey. thats all i ever talked to him about. he agrees to 25k OTD and i go in and test drive it. and while we're driving he says "we can figure out the numbers on this car" and i say, "what happened to 25k OTD?" he says "oh, i've been quoting you for a 2004 wrx"
STUPID ***!!!! i never once mentioned a 2004 wrx with you except to say i dont want 2004 and i want 2005. idiot. and the only color i every said was crystal grey, and 2004 doesnt come in crystal grey. ALSO the one they tried to sell me had like 200+ miles on it because they DROVE it up from fresno. like im gonna buy that one. morons

i remember that dealer..when i was looking for a wrx at the time, i had a quite interesting time there. the salesperson straight up told me that it was his second day on the job and he had to show the owners that he could sell. After that he must have told me that my monthly was going to be about 700. and after that i got his bs card and right in front the the dealer i tore it up because of the bs he talking to me about. Hey... in fact i knew more about the car than he did. I would have to say its your call and i had a better time at albany subaru

Glad to see I wasn't the only treated bad there. By the way FIZAY mycar is WRB with gold wheels, not to original I know. I haven't seen the girl in the red EVO though. I see a black STI hauling on 24 in the early afternoons, but I'm usually driving my BRAT to work, so he is just a blur going past.
