Biggest Subaru Meet Article in Subie Sport

Hi all.

I was wondering if anyone saw the article about the biggest Subaru meet in Subie Sport. I was at Borders and I was browsing through magazines and I happened to fall acrosst the article. I didn't see a specific number of participants, but the article seemed to gloat about how great it was. The author also mentioned the attendance of a 22B and a stretch Forester limo.

Do you guys think Mt. Hammy will be bigger or smaller or about the same?

Haha. Awesome. I guess we should take a s**tload of pics and then send it to Subie Sport, so when the next issue comes out, they'll say that Hammy is the biggest meet.

Subie Sport was at the Hammy meet last year. Not sure if they are planning to show up again

Yeah. I have that issue somewhere. It was a little article with tiny pics. If they come this year, maybe they can do it right. Big article and lots of big pictures.

They did some pretty weak coverage last year... But yeah, they will be there again this year... Subaru Of America will be there as well.

suby sports coverage was weak as hell last year. they barely sent anyone out and it wasn't even an official person if I remember correctly.

I guarantee our meet is larger than the wicked big meet. They were talking about missing this GIANT caravan of over 50 cars and being bummed out. We had at least 2 caravans that large last year....DB was over 115 by itself. Would have been bigger if it wasn't for some dipship shouting 5-0 and telling everyone to leave like he was running ****.

I laughed at that article.

I can't wait. The count down is like...8 days or something.

In those 8 days... I need to receive my new tires, have them mounted onto the wheels, and installed on the car. Did I mention that I only have 2 of the 4 tires. I got two today in the mail today. I have no clue where the other two are.

Every year, the U.S. Subaru fan base grows, but until the WRX came out in 02 there really was very little love for Subaru in the States. And Hammy has grown in numbers each and every year. But as for now there are fans all around there world, I think the places that have had the WRX for the past decade and change probably have bigger gatherings then Hammy.

Last year we were only at about 220 cars. the NE meet in that magazine last year (supposedly, i mean, they cry that we don't have "proof" when they don't either) claimed to have over 300 cars... But I'll be honest, we can't fit 300 cars at hamilton.

We hard the largest meet per sqmile of represented area we are like a 150x150 mile area. they are freaking pulling most of their folks from about 7 or 8 states, that make up something like 650x900 miles.

beyond that, yeah, BAIC> all. You will never find a chapter like ours anywhere.

this is why I'd like to get some sort of ariel shot of the lot. to get "prove" an acurate count.

anyways, they didn't mention how many cars (subarus that is btw) they had this year.
