CARB EO Parts List???

Has anyone ever put together a list of all the CARB approved parts for our cars? I've tried searching multiple times but still haven't come up with anything, and the CARB website is trash, as I'm sure you all know. I'm moving to Cali in a few months and would like to swap out as many of my mods for legal parts as I can.

I also found it a little odd that a lot of Subaru parts that were CARB approved didn't include MY 2007. A lot of it was from 02 - 06 and 08 - present. What gives?!?!

I don't know of a comprehensive list of CARB approved parts.
Here's the short answer
There is no CARB approved Turbo
There is no CARB approved Downpipe - It doesn't matter if you have a car or not. This is the #1 way Subaru's get caught.
There are only a couple of CARB approved intakes and they are worthless
There is no CARB approved header I'm aware of. You can port your exhaust manifolds like the Grimmspeed setup.
There is no CARB approved ECM programming (not that they could check)
Intercoolers seem to be somewhat of a gray area.

That's the letter of the law...

Intercooler is effectively exempt because the car comes with one and it does not technically affect emissions, but yes I have had smog shops question it when it was something other than original, even though it was OEM STI on my FXT.

Yeah I've heard intercoolers can go both ways. Most say to avoid FMIC as they will attract more attention from cops.

FMIC run into issues not because of themselves, but because many require modification or replacement of intake to run tubing...and since there are not CARB intakes...

In a nutshell, Kommiforia are *****. Even bone stock cars are not safe from idiot cops or smog shops sometimes.

Correct, if the car came with one, it has to have one is the rule. It does not have to be the stock one.

But by that logic shouldn't the aftermarket bypass valves (not blow off) be legal too?

Yes. But, like lowend mentioned, it's a grey area. It will depend on the smog tech. They could be overly cautious and fail anything that isn't stock.
