LOL it's actually my dad who brought me into autoxing(he's been doing it for like 10 years off and on). Glad you found your way home Kevin!

I ran a 51.3 in the Datsun (4.5 second improvement 3rd vs 1st). It was good for 2nd. I was 1.8 seconds behind the owner Bob. Its going to be a long while before I'm truly comfortable in the car and get used to RWD.

I ran a 54.6 I think in Sandeep's WRX. It was "run with the headlights on" in the 6th group and I struggled to make the car do what I wanted but still churned out a decent time i think.

Cool beans.

BTW Gagan, I am starting to understand what you were saying when you gave me the tips earlier today. I thought about it a little on my way up to Davis and I think a lot of it is mental as well. I kind of need to become more comfortable with the whole thing.

Cool Kevin, sounds like you learned a way to blow off your Stats project...making up your own stats and typing them into MS Excel haha.

Hope everything on your car is working out for ya. Sounds like it is.

It was cool, because the exercise that Gagan had me do, I got more comfortable with it. First run, I was a little hesitant, and when the third run rolled around, it felt noticeably better. It is getting there.
what was the exercise... share with some novice love.

my car felt like a handful today (just like everyone else i think). i hope i didn't scare any of you guys working rg3. i can't tell if i should've just run my all-seasons instead of my hella old rt-215s.

i think i won my class by default. ha.

It was a few little things. Mainly about how the course was not in my favor and that I should go out there and push it and not worry so much about spinning out or hitting cones.

I did spin out at the end of the first run, but I didn't hit any cones. w00t.

Yeah. I think a lot of people spun there. The guy working the timeslips said next time to get out there as soon as possible, which I'll try to do next time instead of trying to get through without knocking over any cones.
