I would rather go with a carbonetic clutch personally. Good pedal feel and a lot of power potential

WHOA! $900 and you need to buy FIVE of them in order to get that deal?! (as opposed to friggin TEN of them!!! ).

The guys at RPS really don't understand the term "investing"... Is it one guy making clutches out of his garage? Is it someone buying OEM clutches and taking it to some expert clutch shop ($$$) and then reselling them? In all my years of being a subie enthusiast, I have never seen such crappy product movement! How arrogant are they!? Sure, they have a great product but how is anyone going to buy their stuff if they cant find a vendor who is willing to shell out $$$ to stock them, or find a group for friends that are interested in buying the same exact product?

RPS might make great clutches, but whoever is running that show only paid attention to 50% of his schooling... Paid a great deal of attention on how to make a great clutch, but then got lazy and didn't pay attention to the whole marketing/running a business part of the deal.

I've driven two subies with this clutch (I guess it's their standard level clutch) and both felt great. Both were WRX's (read: Not STi's) with heavy modifications and had to upgrade clutches due to milage/wear/tear/power/etc... Surprisingly their transmissions are still in one piece and their clutches felt great!

There are a lot of aftermarket clutches that feel like HELL. I don't think people really know enough about clutches and just buy the most aggressive model and thinking it will feel like the stock clutch but "better"... Little do they realize that the heavy duty racing clutches making shifting SUCK!

I remember driving my friend's EVO with his insane racing clutch (don't remember what brand/name)... Every time I shifted the car felt like it was going to tear in half, and not only that, they are HEAVY! (pedal feel). Good luck driving that ish in traffic! HA!

Cliff notes: Do your research on clutches before buying some 35 puck quadruple plate ceramic clutch

I bought mine and it came within a few days. Bought it from ImportImage. Don't see what the big deal is if you can get it other places? I am big on supporting the local vendors but if you can get it somewhere else faster and much easier without the local vendor having to stock up on it to get ONE of them to me, then ya.

They're out of stock pretty much everywhere now because of this move they made. RPS makes clutches for a lot of other cars and they claim the didn't see enough volume to continue with the Subaru line. They are looking for a bigger distributor take on larger orders at a time. Sadly none of the distributors I've spoken with believe there is enough interest in the product to spend the money on the relatively large stock. If we can generate some interest, I'm sure I can get one of them to place an order. Lets start a list of people who would definitely buy one (and not for $900!).

The group price would be 550$. For 5 people minimum to get this price, not 900.

If I don't have 5 people by next week, you will be pretty much be hosed at least to purchase @550$, and probably won't be able to find one.

Anyone who needs a new clutch soon, even if you dont need it NOW, get on this and buy one right now! It's one of the BEST clutches for street use (way better than stock but still feels stock). This is a killer price for such a great clutch so I'd recommend getting on it NOW. If I had higher milage I'd jump on it, but I only have around 35k on my 2007 STi so I wont need a clutch for a while. (lots of freeway driving to boot)

Good job slow04wrx for doing this for everyone. *thumbs up*
