It's not uncommon for repo guys to do a quick hook-up, and get a car around a corner before they do a full tow setup. Makes it less likely the repo guy will take fire while setting up the dolly's etc.

It's only old autos (not on the new cars), and it only works when the car is running - it closes a circuit that puts the center diff in a bypass mode by disengaging the clutches. It's only to be used for putting a spare on the rear of a 4EAT car and driving with proper fronts. It also makes for mad burnouts. Or so i hear. |
