Not sure exactly when but my caddy is making progress. I'd like to get the roof and visor in paint sooner than later.

Trim is coming off and bumpers and crap as well. Body will probably be shot with a 1 stage metallic matte.

I do. But I don't have 220 or a large enough compressor to keep a consistent flow going.

But SC county doesn't have the air regulations that they do in places like San Jose so technically I could spray it at home. I just don't want to.

Small pieces sure. But this car is HUGE. I want some space, some light and some power. Sanding starts very soon. Most of the metal work is done but there will be a couple more repairs made.

Light in my garage sucks.

There is a chance that the roof is gonna have some get down in it. I'm toying with some gold ideas along with some black, black mixed clear, flake, lace, etc. Not totally sure what we're doing yet but there's a chance it's gonna have some get down on it. And then I'm gonna have my buddy stripe it...

I will talk to my buddy that works at a body shop.

You should have 220 for your dryer. You garage needs a sub-panel anyway!

Yeah but I don't want to run off that.

Eventually I want to have a 220 run from the box and have a few more plugs pushed out to the garage as well.

I've got 2 plugs I can patch in to and add 2 more. But light is a MAJOR issue in that garage. I'll be running 2 overheads pretty soon here but that's only for the work bench area. I need 2-4 more for over the cars. At least 2. Not sure how I'm gonna make it all work. I'm no electrician. It's one of my main beefs with the house... that and the tree trying to destroy my house.

Just found out... bent push rod is why my motor has been missing.

So now... what caused the bent push rod... failed lifter? I'm hoping worst case is I order a new set of lifters and push rods and we're back on the road. I really hope that's all it is. I can't deal with tearing it apart again.

Four 48" Long Linkable T8 Garage Lighting

There are other variations as well. It's what I'm gonna do to add more lighting. No Electrician needed as long as you have an outlet to use.

Bent push rod? Lifter out of adjustment maybe?

You got $500 dorra I can borrow?

I asked sean the same thing. Think it was a lifter that stuck and the rod bent... before the tear down. My dumb *** used the same rods.

Lifters were lubed and sean is looking at them right now.

Just need to find a rod and then drive out there Sat. See if we can make it go vroom vroom again.

Nope, it's why I haven't gotten that setup yet either.

Oh yea, should have replaced the rods and lifters when you tore it down. Cheap investment.

$450 dorrars cuz cadillac....

Nothing is cheap on that car.... nothing. Even the bushings are more than they should be. POS black rubber sway bar bushing... $30. Window moulding... you don't even want to know... I could buy a car for what it'll cost to do all the moulding.

stupid *** car.

Go Chebby 350-Stroked or 454 BigBrock and be done w/ it. Fix the Cad BLock and shelf it if you ever decide to show.

They do make faux Cad Valve Covers for the 350.

Couldn't find Sean's shop, was over there two days ago delivering to MACarbon.

It's on that side road by the train tracks where all the other shops are. Don't think he has a sign up on the road yet so you have to go by the address.

He's a stellar mechanic. He helped me tear apart my wife's VW in my garage. Been in and out of my caddy for a long time now. Fixed a couple nasioc/iclub member subaru's. And he's a good dude.

I thought about doing a small block in the caddy... I kept the caddy motor and put effort in to it because at some point I'll be building a 30/31 A. When it's done... the caddy motor comes out and goes in it. THEN I'll put a 350 in the caddy and hand the keys to my wife. LOL!
