I did some digging and it looks like there aren't any night-safe sunglasses that are effective at night. Glare from headlights is different from the sun's ans there is no UV. So even the yellow/amber glasses don't have a possitive effect while driving at night.
In my case I've driven through the twilight with my amber tints several times because I would be facing the sunset or maybe just forgot I was wearing them. After the sun goes completely down and I finally take them off, I notice that I can't see all that much better with them off.
Same thing with wearing them indoors, I can see fine indoors with my amber lenses, but I take them off because I'd just look like a tool wearing them indoors.
Just my $.0002

Shoot, as long as you can handle your own ish who cares? I think you are right about ppl making it seem like you are driving drunk, while doing blow off your dash, and being blind folded.

I used to have a pair of those slider glasses... still do but they need to be fixed. I have like 6 different lenses. At night with the right lense... woot.
other than that... no. Can't see anything.
