Anybody know anything about TVs?
I'm looking to pick up a 60-inch LED TV for my pops with the budget of $1500.00. It doesn't need any fancy apps or function, it just has to have really good picture.
Also anybody know anything swivel wall mounts for tvs as well?

In regards to the mounts, I guess you just have to make sure you hit studs when you drill into the wall. And also importantly, make sure your mount supports the weight of the tv. And depending on the mounting location, it wouldn't hurt to measure out how much space you'd have all around the tv with the arm extended. That'd be a fail if you mounted the tv too close to a corner and not be able to turn the tv a few degrees due to the sides hitting the wall to the side LOL...Idk if that's the answer you were looking for. GL!
i enjoy plasmas tvs a lot so i think i can prolly help out a bit. for around the 1500$ range with LED, honestly, you wont find anything with decent pic quality. at costco you can find a decent 65" LCD for around that range. it's by SHARP, and i also believe it's 3D, and is smart. Samsung has a decent panel in LED format too, edge lit, but I think it's 55". Anyway, both of these panels are at costco, so you can see them operating in person to see if you like them. keep in mind the colors will be out of wack because of the lighting of the warehouse.
i have a 65" panny plasma that i'm about to wall mount, with tilt adjustment. you can find the brackets at costco too and they cost about 150$, depending on what features you want. best buy also has mounts. you can also find them at amazon, sometimes but not always cheaper. avoid anything below 100$ because it might not be sturdy enough, or come with ****ty brackets. good luck!

Yes i agree with Ed. Samsung, Sony or Panasonic is the way to go. Check the weekly ads at your local Bestbuy or Frys electronics. Bestbuy had a 60 inch Samsung led tv going for $1200 the other week and it could still be on sale.

Thanks for the help guys. So, Samsung, Sony, and Panasonic are the good brands. Now my question is, what difference should I be looking for besides refresh rate?
I see several 60" tvs from the brands above, but they all pose different price. Besides refresh rate and LED vs Plasma, I want to know what else should I be looking out for?
TIA!
