All your base are belong to us
couple of nights ago, i was watching Futurama ( the What If episode with Space Invaders ) and toward the end of the 3rd segment, a ship landed, and all these guys from video games showed up. one was a little green robot dude that said " All your base are belong to us " . whats this from? i see a lot of internet nerds saying this too....wtf?

http://aybabtu.com/ I'm not going to waste my time to explain as there are plenty of much more in depth sources explaining the timeline of the "all your base" internet trend. Basically it stems from a badly translated sega game called Zero Wing.

The text is taken from the opening cut scene of the English version of the 1989 Japanese video game Zero Wing by Toaplan. While the translation was generally poor, this phrase stood out as particularly humorous. lol

That is as old as the internet itself. Been years since I have heard that phrase
|
cool. i thought it was funny as all hell too
