Air Force Casket Photo Investigation

U.S. News - Casket photo sparks Air Force investigation, outrage

This photo will probably **** off the people that have family members that either have served in the military or currently are serving in the military. Pretty disgraceful to have done this photo, but at the same time it doesn't look like there is an explanation of the photo that has been produced by the people in the photo as of yet so judgement is reserved based on that explanation.

I often wonder what the hell people where thinking when they take photos like this. They have to know that it's going to come back on them at some point. This is not the first time a photo has made it's rounds then hit the press.

I want to know what the back story was on this. people are silly.

it would have been messed up if that was a real dead soldier. i dont see what the big deal is. it was rather tasteless but its not like it caused harm to anyone.

Why do ppl in the service always do this? Well, its definitely not the first time we've heard about something like this.

It's really all bad. This is the quality of servicemen and servicewomen today; no, I take it back, this is the quality of people in general these days. While troops are fighting and dying in the Middle East, these retarded bastards are taking stupid photos in the safety of a Virginia airbase. So ****ed up on so many levels.

The Chair Force is mostly REMF's that have no military bearing/discipline at all. They're basically civilians in uniform.

The only airmen that aren't worthless are the guys in AFSOC. CCT's, PJ's, etc.

this did **** me of since theyre a bunch of dumb kids and on top of it the instructors allowed this to be their graduation picture. hell the photographer should have declined to take this!! btw this wasnt mortuary affairs... it was an aerial port course.

definently not a time to be pulling this crap let alone anytime at all. i feel disgusted that im AF and there are NCOs that allowed it.

I guess we could go ahead and bash other services as they all have their own "non-bearing/discipline" moments and tend to do dumb stuff at times. Hell I could go on how the army is just a bunch of dumb bullet catchers, the marines are drunks who start brawls for no reason while raping & pillaging through countries they're stationed at, my own AF is nothing more than civilians in a uniform like you suggest (and I agree to a point) the navy is well....they're navy I dunno, but this isn't the subject at hand so feel free to get back on topic.
