90k service help
Embarking on 90k miles on my scooby, so I need to:
1) Replace fuel filter 2) Flush coolant 3) Replace spark plugs 4) Flush brake fluid How hard is everything to do? If possible, I'd like to do it all myself and save some money :) |
u probly want to do more than that imo. i think theres a maintenence forum or somethin with everything in there. its not too hard to do it at home =P

replace block with built 2.5l?
|
isn't that also around the time where you have to replace the Timing Belt?
|
add on timing belt, tranny and diff oil.
The most time consuming are the timing belt and brake fluid. Get one step colder plugs. The plugs are kind of time consuming too cause you have to remove the battery and air intake to remove the olds and get the new ones in. You will also need multiple extensions to get the suckers in. The 2 closest to the strut pillers are a PITA. When you do the coolant, make sure you get the little bottle of coolant conditioner from the dealership. There is a TSB about blocks cracking without use of this conditioner. Just go th http://my.subaru.com, create an account, enter in your VIN and it will tell you want you need to do for 90K. |

Yah you should change your timing belt ... along with timing belt you should replace the water pump. -=P and check if all your timing belt bearings are spining smoothly. |
I was looking at the maintainence schedule and it says timing belt is a 105k service.
