I figure, last year with hoyer, and a bunch of emerging rookies there were a good handful of games that were lost by ~ 3 points. Those could have easily been wins with Kyles scheme but the team was too young (lots of injuries, rookie mistakes and drops) with no leader (offense or defense). Then in comes Jimmy G and boom, 5-0 against some pretty good competition (minus the Hams game where they benched all the top tier starters).
Now, with new weapons and a full off season for our new QB to learn and lead the offense, Sherman to lead the defense and all the remaining rookies entering their second season, I see this team really hungry and ready to win. Its going to be a great 5 years minimum for us niner fans!

Defense should be pretty solid. Offensive line is looking up. Etc. I think they'll be good.

Tough loss against the Vikings, the game was always within grasp but they flat out blew it on too many key plays. For me, the fumble at the goal line and solomon thomas off sides in the 4th were the biggest concerns Sure, Jimmy threw three picks but I think he played decent considering everything that was thrown at him. I mean, he was going against the top rated defense without his #1 receiver, RB and both right guards. This team has serious potential if they can just stay healthy.

If Goodwin is healthy and the run game is anywhere close to last week, I see a win against the Chiefs. This could be the first real test against Sherman as well... should be a great game.

Yeah, the secondary did basically give up in the 4th qtr against the lions but prior to that, the defense hasn’t been giving up tons of points. KC has definitely produced a ton offensively but I think we’ll pressure them enough so they have to earn it... now throw in a forced fumble or pick and we can definitely take this game. My thinking is that if our run game is successful we can control the time of possession and match them in points. I’m not trying to be overly optimistic but basically I see a solid team that just has to iron out the wrinkles. The only things stopping them are boneheaded growing pains and injury (knock on wood).
