06 Sti Headlight bulb replacement help

06 Sti Headlight bulb replacement help

So i need to replace my headlight bulb. is there any DIY's or could anyone help walk me through it? i cant seem to find help on 06. just 04-05. thanks guys.

its just like an other bulb you replace... just don't touch the bulb itself and your good

i'd walk you through it but i don't have my sti anymore

do you know if i just unscrew the metal backing after i take the cap off? thats what is giving me the problems i guess

HID or halogen? There should just be a spring clip, similar to what is in the 04-05.

Remove the cap. Then you should be looking at a mostly square object that is silver in color. Turn thatcounter clockwise and it should release itselt from the bulb. Now there are two metal spring tabs that need to be squeezed to release the bulb from the housing. Tada

I just unscrew the metal retaining clip thing, then the bulb will come out and you just put the new one in.

i would make a suggestion and replace both at the same time and keep the used good one as a spare. trust me,the other one is on its way out.

so i replaced the bulb and still doesnt work. checked and swapped the relays and checked the fuses. anybody know what it could be? thanks

D2S's correct? Not trying to say you don't know what you're doing, but I have seen many people buy the wrong bulbs and wonder why it doesn't work

Yep got a pair of Phillips ds2+. The passenger are works but not drivers. I replaced em both
