05 legacy gt off craigslist

A friend of mine (who's of the female sex) ;) saw this. Anyone know who's selling? Also, ideas on why it's 2,000 ABOVE KBB?

not sure about the kbb, but its a nice ride

slugrx 10-01-2011 08:18 PM

5spd lgts are really rare...kinda like why people ask so much for 2.5rs gcs

JAC Wagon 10-01-2011 10:04 PM

Ahh ok, good point.

2000 above kbb? I priced it on KBB and saw this:

Excellent: $13,345
Good: $12,495
Fair: $11,145

It would probably fall into Good, as excellent is hard to qualify for. And really, 11.9 for a car that insures under "Family Sedan" yet is a 2.5 liter turbo? As long as it's well maintained, that's a steal. I got mine for 13.5 and was ecstatic, at the time all the others I found were either beat to sh*t, automatic, or aesthetically displeasing to me.

Heedz 10-02-2011 01:37 AM

Yeah I got ,mine at 50k for 18.9.....

Gibz 10-02-2011 02:34 AM

Very true

That's true but you priced a "limited" and this one isn't. At least it doesn't say that in the ad. So I assume it's not a limited. Which in this case means he IS asking 2000 above "good" value.

I'm mostly trying to find out if anyone knows who's car it is. Figured maybe the guy was on i-club or something. I'd like to know which "sport suspension worth $1500" he put on but he hasn't called back yet.

kdmai 10-02-2011 09:05 AM

That is the "limited' edition. It has a sunroof and seat warmers. The non-limited models didn't have those as far as I know. I own 05 legacy gt limited as well, same color too.

JAC Wagon 10-02-2011 09:29 AM

Its not just the limited that you can get heated seats, leather seats, spoiler and moon roof though.

bluwrxwgn 10-02-2011 10:02 AM

For how filthy the carpet and seats are, its missing one center cap and it looks like a tint job on the taillights. I would not pay that price for it.

And 5spd sedans aren't that rare. The wagons are the rare ones.

VIN:
4S3BL676356217222
Year/Make/Model:
2005 SUBARU LEGACY GT LTD AWD

Finding a non-LTD that had all the same options as a limited would be pretty weird.. I dunno who'd order a Non-LTD, and then get all the same options...

The interior is what you'd expect for beige leather, not quite the easiest to keep clean.
A missing center cap? Really? Not quite the biggest concern.

Again, I don't see how it's 2k over KBB, it's actually under. How is this thing too much? Its also a rare car, the wagon is harder to find, but you don't see GT's in general very often. They say once you own a car you notice how many there are on the road. My Mom recently bought an '11 Outback, and her first comment was "wow there's a crapton of these on the road, I never noticed". Well, take it from a LGT owner, there aren't barely any on the road in the bay area.

ApexAssassin 10-02-2011 01:06 PM

Ya I don't see too many GT models on the roads. And even fewer Spec B editions. Too bad.

I drive over 100 miles round trip each day, I see a lot. And when I was looking for a wagon I found a ton of LGT 5spds for sale.

I'm mentioning the missing center cap cause that would lead me to believe it's been modified. And from '05 to '08, they made the LGT sedan, they are not that rare.
