They have these threads on other forums but I feel like a local one would be better since a lot of us actually know each other or will eventually meet one and other.

I shot the challenger pretty early in the morning there and still got ran off by security. I was in my black camaro and they thought we was trying to run a race or something

& gotta love good ole Lindy, most the time you will find my wagon in the lot there.

Is that black one yours? Did you have blacked out tail-lights too? Looked familiar, but I thought I would see it near HMB unless it was a different one I was seeing. Used to daily drive the one pictured below and was on HWY1/Sharp Park every day from around Jan of 2010 till the end of 2011.

I think we used to have a thread just like this, but it may have been merged into the section for such in the main forums. If I remember, there were some nice shots in there. Probably makes sense to have a new one though, so you don't have to go through so many pages.

 

Here's a couple from the Sonoma Historics earlier this year. I had a random chance to go there with my dad, who used to race on this track back in the 60's and early 70's. My WRX 5spd died on the way home. Ha!

I did not want to lug my nice camera with me all around so ended up with my Canon G10 point and shoot. So that, combined with the fact that I am not a photographer, is why these pics are not so great. The cars though..

This thing blows my mind. It had a mis-hap right in front of me (sitting in the bleachers at turn 3) but I did not put up the pics as they were too sad. Nothing too bad, just crunched the priceless, one-off nose..

Next time I am going to rent a telephoto and make the effort to lug around my camera body - it will be worth the effort I am sure.

I couldn't make it to Monterey this year, but I just heard that my Justy made it and was photographed in amongst a Bentley, Bugatti and a few Ferraris. Did anyone go this year? Anyone see a Justy? It's probably the only one (actually I am sure it would have been). If anyone got pics, let me know - it sounded like it was pretty hilarious.
